Vietnam

I've just returned from a fantastic 3-week trip to South East Asia and am now sorting through the thousands of photos that I took on my trip. I'm hoping to add some galleries to this site over the next few weeks, but in the meantime here is a selection of pictures from Hanoi, Halong Bay and Cuc Phuong National Park in Vietnam.

Honorary Geordie

I have just returned from a mini-break in Northumberland with my friend Emma. (By which I mean we stayed overnight in Bamburgh and then worked our way back down the Northumberland coast the next day). We had an amazing time and I couldn't quite believe that all this gorgeousness is on our doorstep.

 

When I first moved to Newcastle, about 12 years ago, I was a bit disappointed as it was a lot smaller than Manchester and London where I'd lived before. But over the years, I've come to realise ...

Where in the world?

Having just come back from a lovely tip to Krakow in Poland (pictures here), I was thinking about where I've travelled and where I'd go back. Trip Advisor have a handy map for you to record the places you've been. As you can see, my destinations are all very UK and Europe-centred, but then I am very lucky - some of my favourite places in the world are in my own country!

Scottish wildlife

Loads of wildlife spotted on a 2 week holiday to Mull and the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Featuring pine martens licking peanut butter sandwiches off a window, a bouncing mouse and a wild pig crossing the road!
